What do you eat?
On April 20, 2009 in Health
We all do it, it is easy, fast and accessible, but how does it affect people’s bodies, and in particularly yours. Long term studies have actually proven that unhealthy foods can be a matter of life and death. Long term unhealthy eating habits will lead to health problems especially as you become older. Unfortunately these symptoms will not show up early, you will only know it is there once it is too late. Heart disease can be ascribed in many cases to consistent consumption of unhealthy foods. With this knowledge in mind 50% of men will die from heart related diseases. Do you think you should be concerned about your own health? At least now you know your options. Balance is the golden rule in nature and life, while we humans are mostly unable to maintain balance. So if you are still in the dark about how unhealthy foods affect our bodies there are two routs you can take. Balance your diet with healthy foods or take supplements to give your body the nutrients it needs to function optimally.
Sometimes it’s just not possible and we have to accept that, and get the nutrition into our kids in whatever way that we can. This sometimes entails a little trickery on our part but otherwise how can you ever line up the three main factors that dominate mealtimes. A general sleeping aid, is a bit of milk just before bedtime. Milk contains tryptophan, which can be converted to serotonin, the hormone that controls sleep. Honey, turkey, egg whites and tuna also contain tryptophan, which are good for sleeping. Serotonin shortage or imbalance can cause depression. Prolonged disturbed sleeping patterns can therefore develop into depression, serious levels of depression and even evolve to major depression. A Low Carb Diet and Sleep is a prerequisites.
