Nitty-gritty of Child Crib Sheets Are Contentment and Security

On November 25, 2009 in Home

When choosing baby bedding for your nursery you need to consider safety issues, style of your room, gender, and long-term utility. Even though it is tempting to decorate the nursery with all those cute little baby items, it is important to remember that those babyish items won’t always be suitable as your baby grows up. Infancy is a quick phase and it will be over before you know it, so you should prepare the nursery so that it is still usable beyond infancy.

Naturally, you’re most concerned with the safety, when buying baby bedding. Since a pillow and blanket aren’t needed yet, it is important that you have a nice, firm mattress with snug fitting sheets. Get a fitted sheet for the mattress, not a flat sheet that folds under it. This will help avoid your baby getting entangled or suffocated. You can add a flat, waterproof pad under the sheet to protect the mattress from all the wet accidents that are sure to happen.
