Do you know this about Orchids pruning

On August 25, 2010 in Home

Do not chop the leaves of an orchid. After orchids flower, you should only remove the dead blooms and flower stalks. The ideal time for Orchid pruning is, for most varieties, October or November. Unless your orchid flowers more than once during the year.

As flowers on an orchid blossom and then fall, during Orchids pruning you should chop each one off at the base. Sometimes it will bloom again after a few flowers are removed. You will know it is time since the flower stalk will have dried up and turned yellow or brown. Perform pruning Orchids only with sterilized tools.
