Adopt These Rules For A Better Retail Design When You Are Setting Up
On January 24, 2010 in Business
Shelving is another important consideration in retail design. You should place the best selling products and the products that have the best profit margins at eye level.
For some of the products, you will receive special incentives from the product companies when you placed their products in certain shelves. You should also line up your products largest to smallest left to right, when there is more than one size of a product. This is because people naturally look from left to right.
By putting your bigger items on the left you are more likely to have patrons grab the bigger size, which makes you more sales. Empty space should be reduced as it wastes valuable space in your store and does not look good.
Your shelves should be placed with just enough space above the products to reach them comfortably, there should not be a lot of empty space between shelves. You should also ensure that your shelves are well stocked. If you have plenty of stock on hand you create confidence in the product and create more of a visual impact.
